If I did this right:
you should be able to click here
and download the .pdf file for Illumination. Off to check and see if it works . . . which it does. Warning, if you haven't read StarDoc (book one), Illumination contains most of the major spoilers for that novel. Willa will probably have the .pdf and html versions posted to the web site in the next week.
A writer very rarely gets the chance to go back and rewrite a novel from a completely different POV, so I really enjoyed writing this one. I also liked giving Reever the spotlight for once. Getting into his head wasn't easy, but now that I've spent the last four months there, I think writing "Arena" will be a lot more fun. Oh, yes, Reever will be getting his own novel, too -- after this one, that's an absolute must.
I'm back, as promised. Since my last post, I went three rounds with the flu, which ended up turning into a minor lung infection (better now, but still a little wheezy.) Not much fun spending three days flat on my back, cursing my wimpy immune system. I used the time to finish messing with "Illumination" and I sent the e-book/html files off to Willa this morning. Thanks to Jessie for the veggie soup and gentle threats. The illness and the obsessing also caused me to miss the TT last night, sorry to all my clan over at FM -- I should have posted a notice. I'll get back on track next week, I promise.
As of 9:34 am this morning, I am (legally) a single woman -- again. It was far less painful than the first time I got ditched, and the ex and I have since maintained an amicable friendship. I got two beautiful children out of the relationship, so I have few regrets. And now there's nothing left to do but tattoo "No More Marriages" on my bod. Maybe on the inside of my eyelids?
Off to Write:
The holiday and the near-theft of my car have pretty much derailed my writing schedule, so until I get my December web site stuff done I'll be scarce. For those of you who entered the book contest, Willa will be posting the names of the winners shortly and the books will be shipped out tomorrow. Everything else has to go on hold for a bit until I catch up with work, but never fear, I'll be back. :)
